Community Health Plan of Imperial Valley (CHPIV) is Imperial County's Medi-Cal managed care plan. We are a locally managed public health care plan committed to working with members, providers, and the residents of Imperial County.

As we continue to build something great, we are looking for a Project Specialist to assist with documentation and completion of internal business projects.

Our next team member will do the following:
 

  • Actively collaborate with people responsible for internal business projects involving department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, delivering products through the design process to completion.
  • Assist with the planning and direction of schedules as well as project budgets.
  • Monitor the project from inception through delivery and follow up with auditing when necessary
  • Engage and work with external vendors.
  • Focus on policy and process improvement, organizational change, and other processes relative to the business.
  • Assist the team in planning and executing business projects.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in the functional areas of NCQA Accreditation and MOC requirements and support programs to meet critical needs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers to analyze and transform needs and goals into functional requirements. Deliver the appropriate artifacts as needed.
  • Work with operational leaders within the business to provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements.
  • Create business requirements documents, test plans, user training materials, and other related documentation.
  • Generate and distribute standard reports on schedule, and complete other duties as assigned

You may be right for this job if you have the following:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and meet deliverable deadlines
  • Experience partnering with different levels of leadership across the organization
  • Knowledge of Medi-Cal Managed Care principles and/or government programs and D-SNP requirements
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
